 Welcome to ‘Garden With Prajakta’.

I am Prajakta.

A plant lover, décor enthusiast, and Blogger.

I can’t recall my first interaction with plants more so because I was brought up amidst nature in green surroundings where seeing plants and trees growing around was normal.

After completing my graduation as I stepped out of my home to take my first job in a metro city, it was only then that I realized that nature was not everywhere.

In the IT hub, I found myself caught up in a concrete jungle with hardly any trees on the road or at the place I stayed. It was not possible to return home now I had to settle down here. Gradually, I got busy with my job but my heart always longed for green space.

And so I decided to bring nature inside my apartment and start my indoor Garden.

Initially maintaining an indoor Garden was a challenge due to a lack of gardening know-how. So the first step for me was to research and build up my gardening Gyan.  

In order to boost my confidence, I thought of starting with low-maintenance plants where success was sure. So I started with snake plants, aloe Vera, and spider plants. I also explored easy options like growing plants in water.

Today I am a proud plant mom to more than 50 plants and counting.

I have had my own set of successes and failures with plants. But overall, it has been an enriching experience so far.

Besides this gardening has now become a family affair as my family takes a lot of interest in our indoor garden. My little one knows a lot of plant names at the age of 3 and loves watering them.

 

Why this blog?

This blog is like my gardening journal I document my research findings and experiments here.

It's like a diary that I would like to maintain for my love for plants and record what I learned.

Besides this, blogging is a very good platform to share knowledge with a global audience.

 

Do I have other blogs?

This is not my first attempt at blogging. I started my first blog in the year 2020 titled ‘My Candid Post’. Earlier I used to post on various topics like travel, plant care, and book reviews under the title of ‘My Candid Post’ but now I've kept it limited to book reviews only.
